Outreach and Ministry Mutual Ministry. For those of you not familiar with this term, Mutual Ministry is a way of doing ministry within a community. Based on the belief that all Christians are given Spiritual Gifts at the time of their Baptism, we are then called by God to recognize and claim these Gifts for the good of all. Simply, we are called to be Ministers of Christ. The "Outline of Faith" in our Prayer Book asks, "Who are the ministers of the church?" And the answer is: "Lay Persons, bishops, priests, and deacons". The ministry of each order is to, "represent Christ and his church". |
