v    Ushers/Oblators
Ushers Duties:
At the end of the "Peace" the two Ushers go to the back of the church and line up. When the Rector finishes making the "Offertory Sentence", both the ushers and oblation bearers  walk down the aisle. Another "clue" to start walking is when the acolyte brings the plates to the steps. At the steps, the ushers will be given the offering plates from the acolyte. After receiving the plates, the ushers step aside so that the oblation bearers can give the gifts. The ushers then walk down the aisle pew by pew, passing the plates.  At the end of the anthem, the acolyte will return to the steps. Walk back down the aisle and give the plates back to the acolyte.  Remain standing there till after the doxology and then return to your seat.
After the Lord's Prayer go to the back of the church and line up. At Communion come forward and stand by the first pew until the acolytes and choir, and any others on the altar finish receiving. Then direct people, pew by pew, to the rail as you move down the aisle. Let enough people out so they fill the rail and there’s about 12 people standing waiting in the aisle. (Always keep about 12 people ready so there’s no lapses in people being at the rail.) Offer assistance to any who need a hand or an arm. The ushers receive Communion last.
Oblation Bearer Duties At the end of the "Peace" the two Oblation Bearers go to the back of the church. One picks up the bread. The other picks up the wine and water. Both then line up behind the ushers. When the Rector finishes making the "Offertory Sentence", all four walk down the aisle. At the steps, the ushers will receive the offering plates from the acolyte, and then step aside. The oblation bearers give the bread, wine, and water to the acolyte or clergy, turn, and walk back to their seats.
